Say what is really going on

Parents should tell you what is really going on, even if it is something sad or scary that has happened.
Otherwise your might feel even more angry and sad when you find out.
It can feel like they have fooled you.
Parents sometimes have to wait a while before they talk about it.
They might find it hard to talk about.
And they have to think about what to say.
It was like that when my grandad died.
They were sad and did not want me to be sad.
But they told me when they were ready.
It made me sad but that happens when your grandad dies.
